C. R. Riddell (Chris) is a Canadian mystery author. His ongoing series, Canadian Noir, blends paranormal elements, police procedurals, and psychological suspense.
With a background in journalism and poetry, Chris has been writing in some form for most of his life. His debut novel, Snake River (Canadian Noir Vol. 1), is small-town mystery with Indigenous folklore inspired by Twin Peaks and The X-Files. It weaves together multiple perspectives as a dark and disturbing mystery takes shape.
When he’s not writing, Chris is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, camping, and fishing. He also plays a mean guitar and has performed in bands and dabbled in writing his own music from time to time.
He lives in Ontario, where he’s at work on his next novel.
